This is our first post and we're going to keep it pretty short. Today we've spent most of the day just agreeing (or disagreeing) on what we wanted done with our blog. We did have to break for a minor recess ;) .....

A Formal Introduction
Welcome to the blog-site of Io and jade. Before we proceed further allow me to introduce us to you. We are a happily married, monogamous couple of 14 years from Texas. Together we have three beautiful children, a cat and two dogs. We are involved in the church, active in our community and are both educated; I posses a Masters (now working on my Doctoral) and jade with a BBA. I was born in 1969 (yes, that makes 37) and jade was born in 1973 ( making her 22). Over the years we have dibble-dabbled in minor bondage, spankings and the likes. It was not until recently that we accepted and are now transforming our marriage into a full fledged Domination-submission (D/s) relationship. jade happened to have stumbled upon the 'Taken In Hand' web-site ( a great intro for those interested in moving in that direction: http://www.takeninhand.com). This blog is to document our experiences and share some of what we do with you. Too many people (that I've read..I have no statistical proof) believe that the D/s relationship is all about control, manipulation, pain and degradation of the woman. Rest assured it is not and I have every intent on showing people what a D/s relationship is really about; Love, Respect, Loyalty, Passion, Bonding, Trust and true Freedom.
What is a D/s relationship? I'm sorry, but that is one of those questions you have to answer for yourself - Much like in 'City Slickers' when Curly tells Mitch: "the meaning of life involves 'Just One Thing' - it's different for everyone.
What is it to jade and Me; It's acceptance. My role in our relationship (as we believe it should be in all relationships) is to lead and protect the family. Should the family become weak, I will pick them up. Should the family need, I will provide. Should the family falter, I will carry them. This is my role. I give of myself to ensure they are happy and fortified. In our relationship, jade provides support and keeps the ship balanced. In return, and the controversial part of the D/s relationship, jade is my sexual partner when I call upon her, without question or reserve. She gladly offers her body to me in ways other men dare not dream; oral, vaginal or anal. I ask that you please understand that jade is as tough as she is beautiful. She is as explosive as she is mentally strong. Do not think for a moment of her as weak, passive or exploited for she is none of these. She is by great leaps stronger, more disciplined and controlled than many a woman you might encounter. She can, with a look, command respect for she, as Sun Tzu states, first gives it.
As we walk through this life in our leather, rubber, silk and sweat coupled with tears and laughter, we ask that you walk with us. To live vicariously through us. To voice your thoughts and expressions as we live our lives to its sexual fullest.
